Robin has taught chemistry at Arkansas Tech University for the past 11 years. Previously, she taught chemistry, physics, and geometry for two years at Olathe East High School in Olathe, KS. She has taught several summer classes for K-12 teachers through NCLB grants administered through the Math Science Institute at Arkansas Tech.

Robin keeps herself busy with a husband and two children, Shannon(13) and Brandon(11).

Jessica teaches at Crawford Elementary. She taught 6 years as a 3rd grade teacher and has started this school year being the science specialist for grades K-4.  Each week her students experience labs that focus on the scientific practices required to think scientifically and perform science investigations. She has been married for 8 years and has a 4 year old son who keeps her very busy. She loves anything outdoors especially hiking and biking.

Diane has taught in the Pottsville School District since 2003. She taught 3rd grade for one year and 4th grade for five years before becoming the K-12 Gifted and Talented Teacher/Program Coordinator and Advanced Placement Coordinator. She coaches a 6th grade Quiz Bowl team and serves as a Quiz Bowl Judge for Jr. High and High School level competition.

Diane is married to Russ Hancock, Director of Publications and Creative Services at UCA and an adjunct professor of Digital Photography at ATU. They have three adult children and a daughter-in-law. Chris (27) is Social Media Director for Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock. Chris’ wife, Felecia, is Creative Director for Rainwater, Holt and Sexton in Little Rock. Nick (26) is Ceramics Teacher and Studio Director for The Studio at A Conversation Piece in Russellville and is getting married this fall to Kaitin Spry. Riley (22) is a senior Graphic Design major and Honors College student at ASU in Jonesboro. Diane enjoys growing flowers, herbs and vegetables in her gardens, cooking and traveling.

Jeanine has taught for 26 years in the Russellville School District. For the past 9 years, it is her privilege to teach all kindergarten through fourth grade students a hands-on science lab once each week at London Elementary School. Previously, she taught fourth grade at Oakland Heights Elementary School for 12 years and sixth grade science at Russellville Middle School for 5 years.

Selina has taught for 11 years in the Pottsville School District. For the past 6 years, she has taught fourth grade. In 2012 Selina was named one of 7 Wonders of the USA Teachers of the year and received $25,000 worth of technology for her classroom.  She is married to Alan Smith.  He is an electrical engineer at Arkansas Nuclear One.  They have two beautiful girls; Cheyenne(15) and Emberly(6).

Shanna has taught chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry for seven years at Pottsville High School. She has served as the Student Council Sponsor for the last four years in addition to being on several committees within the Pottsville School District. Prior to coming to Pottsville, Shanna taught at Ridgefield Christian School in Jonesboro for two and a half years. At Ridgefield, she taught 7th grade science and math, physical science, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, and geometry. Shanna is married to Scott Bly, and they have one son, Andrew. They enjoy spending time with their family, cooking/baking and sports.

Kathy has taught in the Hector School District for 8 years. The first two years she taught 5th and 6th grade science and the last six years she has taught 4th grade Science, Math, and Social Studies.  She was an aide in the Russellville School District for 10 years before deciding to return to college. “I just love the Community Science Network and I have been involved with them for 4 years.”

In 2012, Emily started teaching at Pottsville Junior High in Pottsville, Arkansas. She has taught seventh grade science for the last 3 years. During her first year of teaching she also taught one section of eighth grade science. In addition to teaching, she is the seventh grade team leader and she also helps sponsor our Pottsville Junior High Beta Club.

Before coming a teacher, Emily worked for 11 years at United Parcel Service (UPS). She has one son, Cache and one step-daughter, Allie. Her husband’s name is Brian. Cache is in the 6th grade and is very active in playing football, basketball, and baseball. He also likes to rodeo. He ropes and rides steers. Allie enjoys playing volleyball. Her family spends lots of time enjoying sports; they also enjoy spending time with their horses. Emily is an avid horse rider. She participates in barrel racing in her free time and Cache and Brian like to rope.
